US Mint 50 State Quarters Program

An innovative 10 year program, starting in 1999 and releasing a new state quarter every 10 weeks, is one of the most successful at creating excitement about our circulating currency. Release dates and mintage estimates for The State Quarters Program are available at the US Mint site. The winning designs for the reverse can also be found on the Mint Programs State Quarters page

A little known fact is that the program is not over! D.C. and U.S. Territories Quarters Program is getting started this year (2009) and will release 6 quarters before the end of the year.
