History: From 1946 to 1964 the Dime were made of 90% silver. In 1965 the composition was changed to a copper core clad with layers of copper-nickel. Until 1968 the mintmark was located on the reverse to the left of the bottom of the torch. In 1968 is was relocated to the front just above the date.
